Honorable Mention Stone Sorcerer Gregory Fell He sits like sediment and strives unseen with the patience of ages to petrify wood. Alone among elemental mages he devotes his craft to the creation of permanent art. Blind to all above the firmament, with hands gnarled by age he mixes sands with water. Into mud pies he plies the bones of beasts and bakes them deep within the crust. The fossil-moulds he leaves for men to find when dust is all that’s left behind of flesh and blood. Broad shoulders bare the marks and scars of boulders cut by glacier ice. Trace the ore in beating veins to rock hewn jaw that’s grim in form and scowls at malice long ignored. Grimace and despondent groan erupt from cragged maw. In vengeance many times before he’d torn and quaked the earth. He gestures with a knotted claw – the tremor strikes.
